Hi guys,

I'm buying a used Mac, and a new monitor. I'm trying to understand
if they will work together.

Do you see any problem connecting this Mac and monitor?

What kind of resolution can a 16mb video card deliver?

Although I know little about this, I'm guessing I can connect
these two as is, but I may not get the full resolution the monitor
is capable of. In which case, I'd need to buy a new video
card as well? Do I have that right?

Thanks a lot for any advice!

450MHz G4 Processor (AGP)
16mb video card
512MB RAM
40GB Hard Drive
DVD-ROM Drive
DVI and VGA video ports
2- USB ports
2- Firewire ports
Ethernet port

Your Mac's Specs
Al iMac 20" 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The ATI Rage video card supports a resolution of 1600x1200 according to http://lowendmac.com/ppc/g4saw.shtml

It was in the days before widescreen monitors, so you might have problems if you want that Dell display.
