Macbook Pro: hard drive upgrade?

Hello all.. i am wanting to take my macbook pro which has 1GB of Ram and an 80GB hard drive.. i'm wanting to make it 2GB ram and 250GB.. i have the ram part under control, but does anyone have any input on what hard drive to go with? i.e. brand, model etc..

15.4" MacBook Pro 4GB 500GB 2.4Ghz
Its a 2.5" hard drive. I think that the brand doesn't matter, I think that the current 2.5" drives only go up to 320GB or 500. It's a SATA drive

MBP 2.3 Ghz 4GB RAM 860 GB SSD, iMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 32GB RAM, Fusion Drive 1TB
Brand wise I would go for the one that has the longer warranty IE Seagate 5 years Vs. Western digitals 3 years.

I don't remember what the warranty on the 500 GB Samsung HDDs >_<"
