I have a Macbook Pro running 10.5 and somehow my voice over has been turned on for login. It is only on at login and I can turn it off by hitting command-f5 but it will be back on at the restart. If I go into voiceover options in System Preferences, it says its off. Please Help!

I had the same problem!

1. Open System Preferences.

2. Open Accounts under the System section.

3. Select Login Options.

4. Unheck the box for Use VoiceOver at login window.

I have turned on voiceover at my Macbook air while login. I have tried my level best to turn it off but it doesn't go. It's very annoying. Please let me know how can I get rid of it.

Welcome to our forums.

Turn off VoiceOver:
  1. Click on the Apple logo in the menu bar.
  2. Choose System Preferences.
  3. Select Accessibility.
  4. Uncheck the Enable VoiceOver box.

Welcome to the forum.

You did all what? What Mac? What version of macOS? Hard to help with just "it didn't work."

Okay, did the prescribed method in post #4 work for SaroshS?
If so cbt, have you tried that method? Or the method described in post #2

It's always helpful to know what might have happened to turn it on. It is almost impossible to turn this on other than via Accessibility or Login Preferences.:)
