ok, so i'm a windows user switching to mac. i'm waiting for my ibook to come in, and i picked up an old apple lc like i had way back in high school. i don't remember anything about these computers. anyway, where can i find a copy of os 7.5.5 that i can download on my pc and install on my apple? is that doable, or do i have to dl it from a mac so it has the same format? also, can i use this machine to connect to the internet and what not? are there any browsers, email clients, chat programs, etc?

OS 7.5.5 was an update to 7.5.3. I didn't know if you had 7.5.3, so here's the link to it anyway:

I can only guess that this machine wouldn't really cope with the internet of today.

i just checked and i have os6, which is apparently pretty decent. i guess i'll stick with it and do what i can.

How much RAM does this thing have?

You should be able to use email and browse low-end websites, but as soon as it comes to Flash and Java based sites, you're going to struggle. If possible, install Opera on it.
