Hi there!
I have lots of files on my laptop and need to use the search function quite regularly. I come across multiple folders sometimes and get told they no longer exist and so I have to fix the alias.

Is there a software out there which can scan my computer and get rid of any folders/files which no longer have any use and auto fix aliases if possible to?

Many thanks.

An alias will only break if you move the original file to another disk. Since it references the actual bits and not the folder path an alias will function correctly provided the original file is not moved and deleted.

If you have several broken aliases my guess is they were from a backup or restored from a backup.
