Screenshot trouble

That keyboard shortcut shift-command-3, that takes a picture of the screen, has all of a sudden stopped working for me. Sometimes it will make a noise, but not save a pic to the desktop like it should and used to. Most of the time it won't even make the noise. I do put a lot of stuff on my powerbook and I'm not sure what could have affected it.

It happened to me today when I installed the trial version of Snapz Pro X. I uninstalled this software, and then the screenshot combination was working again.

Make sure you remove any such third-party screenshot utilities, if you have any.

Try a permissions repair first.

Make sure that something didn't change the keyboard shortcut. Maybe something you downloaded has something with the same shortcut, and you had to re-enter it as what you wanted the new one to be.
