seems that every time I run these two programs, my mac freezes/locks up.

have to shut down holding the power button. only way to get out of it.

ittunes 10x and firefox 20....

how can I find out what is causing it? I think it's itunes personally. if I just run firefox without itunes it dont seem to lock up.

any ideas how to troubleshoot and fix this? Im not upgrading to itunes 11 because I had it and hated it, went back to itunes 10.

thanks.

What happens if you run another browser along with iTunes? For example, run Safari or Chrome together with iTunes? Also, how much memory and hard drive space do you have?

2 gigs memory, 203 GB hd space left. Ive had safari and camino open with itunes and it's never happened that I can recall. I'm only using 2 extensions and 2 plugins on firefox. firefox has been a memory hog, uses 401MB real memory and 312mb virtual memory.

just getting tired of it id like to get to the bottom of it if I can. (may upgrade my RAM soon 2gb is not much).

I certainly would upgrade the memory to 4 GB if possible. I don't know if Firefox is anymore a memory hog than Safari but if Safari works better for you alongside of iTunes, then I would start using it rather than FF.
