G4 need help turning it on!!!!

I have a power mac g4 and I dont have the installation cd that came with the computer. It seems like my harddrive does not have OS at all and that is the it seems to be not working. I downloaded so many retail versions of OSX but they all require double layer dvd. I created a double layer dvd for that but my g4 doesnt have double layer dvd so it wont be able to read it thorough its regular dvd drive. Is there anyway that I can create regular single layer DVD5 from double layer that I have?

If you want to install OS X, then you need to go buy a retail version of OS X
