    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to imovie 09. At work we have a movie showing someone giving a speech. We wish to extract highlights of that speech. I was given start and finish times throughout the movie to show where to extract the various parts of the speech we wanted.

When I am in imovie I see all the clips but there are no times when the clips are playing. So for example, how do I know where 1.45 minutes into the movie is up to 3.33 minutes and then later, start at 5.45 minutes into movie up until 6.00 minutes in the movie? Does imovie have this capability. I would greatly appreciate any help. :)

The mac is at work so from memory just click on a clip in the event browser. A yellow box appears. When you drag one of the edges of the yellow box the time is shown on that edge.
