Hello all

I just got a MacBook. Wonder if there's a "Mac for dummies" book out there or some books similar to it.
I consider myself a novice to both Mac and Windows and pretty slow in learning new software and technology.
Any suggestion / idea is appreciated

The Apple website is a source of information too, and browsing it once in a while will help you along.

Mac OS X: Missing Manual is a pretty good one to start with. In fact it was my first book too. But when you become familiar with OS X this book might become too simple.

Try Mac OS X Unleashed or as Pulse-8 said, try to use web resources.

Mac OS X: The Missing Manual (Tiger Edition) was my first book as well. Excellent read for Mac OS X newbies :)

i picked up "The Rough Guide to Macs and OSX" by Peter Buckley, Duncan Clark (you can search amazon or the like).

very easy and fun to read, easy to understand, and very helpful for a recent switcher.
