Seems like my iphone is disconnecting the wifi when in sleep mode. This is becoming a big drain on the battery. Running a 3G with 4.2.1

Any thoughts? I have push disabled and everything set to manual.

Even if wifi was staying connected when in sleep it won't matter unless an app is using the connecting.

I, personally, have never noticed a battery drain using push. Not sure what you mean about everything being set to manual.

I'd suggest bringing up the multi-tasking bar and making sure everything is shutdown. Restart your phone and see how it goes

Well I guess I fixed it. I backed up the phone and reset all the settings.

The Wifi and Push totally use more battery (Apple - Batteries - iPhone)
Manual means that you check your email manually. Its right at the bottom under push and fetch. Also theres no multi tasking on a 3G
