I have a small home network running off of DSL. Like most such networks, I have a DSL router and all of the computers plug into it. I note when I go to the router's configuration page and display my network status that my Mac shows up with the name "new-host".

I can't figure out where this name is set, so that I can change it to something more meaningful. Does anyone know? Thanks!

I'll give this one bump to bring it to the top of the heap. I can't believe that nobody has the answer to this! Not to worry, if it still gets no answer, I guess I will just have to leave with the anonymous named new_host on my network!
