Hi all

I've been running Time Machine successfully for a good few months now with an external drive for the backups. It is now telling me it doesn't have enough room left to back up. when I try and access the drive to delete files, it doesn't seem effective, i.e. it is still saying it is full.

Can anyone help? How can I free space so I can continue my back ups?

Many thanks

Helen

Eh? I thought Time Machine will automatically delete the oldest version of the OS on your external hard drive to make space for the newer versions?

Are you keeping other files besides your TM backups on the drive.
I found that if you do then the function of deleting old TM Backups does not work properly:Smirk:
