mac pro wont shut down

every time i try to shut down my computer it saying that finder still in use
asking me to force quit but after doing that and shutting nothing happen so i always shut it down by unplugging the power.

Time to use Disk Utility and verify the hard drive for errors. You can also use the "Activity Monitor" application to see what's going on when it's trying to shut down.
