Harddrive space problems

ive had my PBook for about 2 years now, but a few days ago it did something very odd and wont stop. I had Virtual pc 6 with windows XP on it, and because i hated windows so much i dragged the whole of virtual pc into my trash and turned off the computer. Later when i turned it back on it was fine, but gradually my HD space was getting smaller and smaller. it started on 16GB and about 12 hours later it was on 13GB can anyone explain this? thanks

are you sure you totally got rid of vpc? Id try doing a search for stuff related to it anddelete what comes up. also, did you empty the trash after dragging it to the trash?
