Are you asking about how to play DVD movie discs? Macs have a free application called DVD Player to play DVD movies. It should be in your Applications folder. iTunes only plays music CDs, mp3, and other digital media files.

You can also download VideoLan to play DVDs and other digital video files.

You need to encode the movies into something itunes can use. The best thing I've found is handbrake - set the button to apple universal - then it will play on everything.
HandBrake
Once encoded - drag it into itunes like any other media file.

Otherwise - just use DVD player or VLC as stated above if you just want to watch movies.
