Girlfriend's iMAC G5 (OS 10.4.11) recently repaired- new logic board.
On shutdown, org.apache.catalina.startup.bootstrap appears in menu bar, stops shout down, until this is QUIT....
I think it has something to do with JAVA, which also now shows up in the dock....
A mystery.... we'd like to just get rid of it.... perhaps the repair people had a reason for using it, but now we'd like to lose it.
