I am running Mac OS X ver. 10.7.2 and I have several times seen the screen saver even though I have dissabled this by setting the "Start screen saver" option to "Never"...
Is there anything else I need to set in order to overrule OS X's desire to randomly start a screen saver?

Thx in advance.

Are you using a hot corner? Check and see if these are off.
Sometimes you might accidentally use one without knowing it.

I am using one hot corner to show the Dashboard... Could that be conflicting with the screen saver setting?
Or did you mean that there could be a hot corner set for the screen saver itself?

Possible, I just did a clean install of Snow Leopard and the lower left corner was assigned to screen saver. I didn't do it.
