First post: Power issue

Do I have to change the power setting when I'm plugged in to the outlet? I noticed I have two settings one for Power Adaptor and one for Battery Power.

First time Mac owner.

The system will check to see if it is on battery or power adaptor and then set power setting accordly. You can adjust this settings to your liking.

Just set the setting in the energy saver (located in the system prefs) to automatic and it will optimize the battery power when plugged into the wall outlet or when it is running on battery power. You can talor these to your liking later when you feel more comfortable.
