Lost Folder - Help Please

Your Mac's Specs
20"iMac, 2.16ghz dual core
In attempting a back up I dragged my music folder (or attempted to) from the Finder pane into the back up pane, but it did not appear there and now seems "lost"

I have no idea how to recover it or where it may be - any ideas please?
