Lion forgot admin p/w but resetpassword doesn't work

Hi,

I have forgotten the admin password on a Macbook pro running Lion. I have used the CMD-R terminal / resetpassword instructions, but although the password appears to be changed it still isn't letting me get in after rebooting.
Does anyone know how to get the resetpassword to work? Or know another way to change the admin password?

That's not how you change the admin password. No idea what you're doing, but here's the correct instructions:
