how to write php files with MAMP ?

Hi

i have installed MAMP and i run it from the widget Dashboard

i can open the "Welcome to MAMP " page which mean all things installed successfully http://localhost:8888/MAMP/?language=English
but i try to generate php files (Hello word basically )
i don't know where to place files and how to access them ?

I rarely use MAMP - Just for OSCommerce database testing only the odd time.

I use Headdress for testing PHP - Works a treat - http://headdress.twinsparc.com/ - Just define the folder where your file or folder is located at locally. Awesome program, and the best $15 I've ever spent. :)

Your Mac's Specs
17" 2.0GHz C2D iMac, 2.5GB RAM || 2GHz C2D Macbook White, 2GB RAM || PowerMac G4 533MHz, 1GB RAM
Inside the MAMP directory (should be under Applications) there is a directory called htdocs - put them there. This is the default for MAMP. You can also change it if you'd like.

OK i have put my Hello.php file in htdocs folder
and still not working !

any advise ?
