My macbook Pro crashed recently (it's a long story see previous posts).
The Macbook is a 2008 model (printed on the underside) --- will this have been sold with Snow Leopard installed?
I am asking because when I bought the machine from ebay it had Mountain Lion installed but obviously this wasn't the original OS. It had obviously been updated but I haven't got the apple ID or the password for the Mountain Lion so I can't re-install it.
My plan is to buy from apple a Snow Leopard disc and install that. My question is will it install OK on my machine.
I'm not really bothered about having Mountain Lion I just want to get the mac up and running legally.
Any thoughts would be welcome.
