Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and VLC 1.0.5

Anyone else experiencing problems with apple remote and VLC. I am unable to pause/fwd/stop etc using the remote

The remote works in iTunes and EyeTV on my MacBook.

VLC 1.0.3 was working before the snow leopard upgrade from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3
but VLC 1.0.3 version has problems with apple remote in the leopard upgrade. So I thought getting the latest VLC version might help and nope that wasn't the case either.

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
No problem here.
Try rebooting, and if that doesn't fix it, maybe running Onyx.

I don't have any problems either. If the restart doesn't help then try to just re-install it.

Did you run OnyX?
Also, after running OnyX (the version that I linked above) try installing the 10.6.3 Combo update .
