I have a 6-7 year old G5 running OS 10.3.9 and have been using MacMail v1.3 for years without any major problems. Ever since I tried deleting hundreds of old emails 2 weeks ago I've had problems. When I emptied the trash, on its own it started "compacting", then there was an error message that there was a problem compacting and ALL my sent mail was gone, not just the ones I specifically deleted. Tonight the same thing happened with my Inbox. They are all missing after I only deleted the oldest 100 or so as a test. Anyone have any suggestions?
