Find my iphone last location not showing

Hi everyone,

I've lost my Iphone - argh. I do have Find My Iphone enabled with location services on but I know the phone was out of battery when it got lost.

I do know it won't be able to show me where it is right now as the handset has no power but I also know it should show me the last location on a map, however, it isn't. When I log into the app it just gives me the option to lock or wipe and a blue screen with an unzoomable map of the world

Does anyone know why it won't tell me where it last was? If I knew that I'd know where to go and look for it.

If the device is Off Line, I doubt a location is going to show.

It will only display last known location for up to 24 hours, after which the map is cleared.

Thanks for that Bob. I rarely use it but know when I do my last location is not there but it's weeks in between uses so that explains it.

Thanks but I do already know that. It's not showing me where it was at all, I get no map, nothing and I turned the app on about 30mins - 1 hour after I lost it. This is why I'm posting, I need to get the last 24 bit working quick!

Done reached the limit of my knowledge about it. Don't have a clue how/when it gathers last known info.

But, how many places could you have been in 30 -60 minutes? That bar hopping will git ya.

And if the battery died, you continued changing locations, the last known will do you no good.

Unless you used Find My iPhone or Find Friends in the previous 24 hours it won't have registered it's location.
