Speaker Pop noise

Ever since I have had my iMac the external speakers pop everytime the computer turns on from sleep or from a cold boot. I have checked the wiring to the speakers and everything seems to be OK. I have Logitech speakers with a sub-woofer. These were the same speakers I had on a PC with no problems. Anybody ever run into this?

Check out this thread on the most recent update and the pop noise. I have the same problem since I got the update. My speakers pop a few seconds after a sound has stopped and when a sound starts, as if the sound is being turned off and on.

Read this thread especially the messages toward the bottom. Someone came up with a fix. You change one file and popping is gone.
