• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

So I will start to say that I have a few timelapse clips that have successfully uploaded to Final Cut Express. I am using large format pictures so I can edit them and pan etc. I am using H.264 compression, 24 frames, high quality and data rate is on auto. Again, I have been able to process a few sets of photos using these settings. However, different sets have yielded a blank white file that has no photos in them. The export appears to work but then goes quicker than it should and creates the empty file. They cannot be opened in FCE saying that the codec cannot be read. I don't understand what the problem is. All the photos were taken with the same camera and are being taken from the same external hard drive. Any help would be awesome.

essentially i can create the QT timelapse segment with some photos and not others with no apparent reason why (some photos sets get a "Failed: Export Process Terminated Unexpectedly (10)" message and others get a blank white video)
