Lion will not search network folders

Since upgrading to Lion, I am unable to search the network drives. Using Finder, I select the network folder I want to search, type the keyword in the spotlight bar, and immediately, the search switches back to This Mac. When I select the network folder again, the keyword remains in Spotlight but will not provide results.

Probably a user issue but I'm stumped.

I just tried it here and it seemed to work. Are these network drives other computers or NAS? If computers, Windows or OSX?
