Palm on fhe iBook

I have a plam pda and I've got a USB cradle and now I've got a new MAC iBook running X 10.3.2.

In the pc world, I could just download the sw and install it on a new mae chine, plug in the cradle and be ready to go.

I see that the mac palm desktop is available on the palmone website. Will this work with what I've got and can download or do I have to buy something?

It will work the same way. However, note that iSync will not sync all the same data that Palm Hotsync does.

Ok, I've got the palm desktop running--what about iSync?

Now how do I get iSynch to work with the palm? My copy of the MAC OSX missing manual says that I should open the palm hotsynch manager and select the iSync item under the conduit manager. I don't see iSync in the conduit manager. What's going on?

iSync Palm Conduit 1.2 is a download from Apple. It is not installed by the Palm desktop software. To use iSync with Palm devices you must have both the Palm Hotsync software and iSync Palm conduit. Go to the Apple site under support and use search.

(My original post did not specify iSync Palm Conduit but just mentioned iSync. Sorry if I misled anyone.)
