Has anyone ever considered this item for the MacBook? I don't know if I'm posting this in the wrong section...

That ought to take care of the overheating issue... and drain your MacBook's battery.

Well, I guess the question is -- do they work well enough to fork over $30?

I bought my wife the $20 version (only has two fans and not three) at best buy when we got her macbook. she is home all of the time and plugged in so the battery isnt an issue. It does keep the macbook pretty cool. For us it was worth the money.

To answer your question about correct forum, no this is not the correct forum. It should be in peripherals and other hardware. Let me move it for you...
