Okay, so I recently got a Blue Snowball for personal audio recording. The thing is, my friend on Skype says the audio is too loud and picks up too much background noise. When I turn down my sound input volume, it gradually goes back up as I speak into it. Can anyone instruct me on how to make it so the slider stays where I put it?

Do you have the switch set to No. 1 for Skype because it sounds like its set to position 2 or 3 which changes the pattern on how it picks sounds up position 1 is preferable for Skype and FaceTime.
