Hello,
I bought a Seagate hardrive about 2 months ago when I was still on Windows. Ot was formated in NFTS. When I switched to Mac I tried to reformat it using disk utilities, and now the hardrive is not recognized my any computers (Windows, Linux or Mac). (I think I unplugged the hardrive before the end of the reformating.) How can I fix this ?
Please help !
Thank you

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Pop the drive in an external case, connect to your Mac and go into Disk utilities and see if it appears in the L.H. pane. If so select and format Mac OS Extended (Journaled). If you want to use the drive for Windows it will have to be formatted NTFS.

If you want to use the drive for Windows it will have to be formatted NTFS.

There is another option - you can use it with either OS X or Windows by formatting it to "MS-DOS" (which is FAT32). There are some limitations related to file sizes (you can't have a single file larger that 4GB), but in general, it should work fine.
