    Recommendations for non-Apple displays
I have a MacBook Pro 13" and as much as I'd love to get an LED Cinema Display, I just can't afford it. Can anyone suggest non-Apple displays that are both cheaper and decent quality?

    Thanks.

There are plenty of cheap displays out there - of decent quality. Heck Amazon is having their pre-black friday deals and I've seen a few for under $200. For that price you could buy a few and replace them every now and then.

Anyway - what is cheaper? There are plenty of Dell monitors that are smaller and cheaper - and Dell monitors are an industry standard. I've had mine since 2000 - and it is only now showing signs of age and ghosting.

Have had several Dells myself and a few of them in the office now - have no problem recommending them at their price point.

I agree with Ivan and Tom. Dell monitors are a very good buy and quality for what you pay. I was looking at several in a Staples store this afternoon waiting for a copy job to get done. I was impressed with their LED 24" model on display for $279.00. Outstanding color, brightness, and resolution.
