    Specs:
    21.5" iMac i5 2.9 Ghz, 15" MBPro i7 2.0 Ghz, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, ATV2, ATV3, iPad2, iPad Mini
The monitor should be able to swivel up or down e.g. put your hand on the bottom of the screen and pull towards you. This should bring the bottom of the screen towards you and the top of the screen will go away from you.

Sounds like it's defective. I'd give Apple a call.

Please verify and include the exact model/year of your Mac and OS X version number (available from "About This Mac", then "More Info" on the Apple menu).

It looks like the display and stand aren't completely together.

    Call them straight away.

The stand can be removed and re-seated but call them and tell them before you do anything

Did you buy this new or used? If:

    - new...definitely contact Apple.
    - used (such as Craig's List or e-Bay)...check to see if it's still under warranty...if so...contact Apple.
    - used (such as Craig's List or e-Bay)...and not still under warranty...contact the seller about a return

    Good luck,

Nice find with the video! I was actually just reading about how some iMacs can be wall mounted, and I've seen inquiries into that once or twice here, so that video will come in handy. Glad you worked it out.
