Lacie external hard drive not working...

Hey...wassup?

this is my first post and im here for a very important reason..save my "life".

I have a Lacie external disk...and was working fine, maybe a lil slow to switch on but now, it doesnt appear on my desktop. It powers on, bue the light changes continuously between yellow and orange...sometimes stops at yellow, but never appear on my desktop. i can't find it.

honestly..i dont care about the drive..i care about the files, so please, does someone know how can i save them?

Most likely a failed electronic interface between the LaCie case and the actual hard drive. LaCie does not make the hard drive but instead uses drives from various makers and puts them in their carriers. The drive itself could also be bad but most failed LaCie drives I've seen were due to defective electronics in the case.

You may be able to remove the drive from the LaCie carrier and place it in another USB carrier and be able to access all your data.
