Mini-DVI to Video Adapter for new Macbook?
    Greetings,

I was interested in an adapter to connect the Macbook to the tv, and based on my type of television this seemed to be the best option. However, I noticed in the fine print that it says:
"This adapter is not compatible with the 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo white MacBook introduced in January 2009."
So my question is, what adapter would be compatible with the new Macbook?

You'll need the mini-DVI to VGA adapter and then a converter similar to one of these.

I make no guarantees on this one. Most folks have been unsuccessful obtaining composite output.

Why doesn't the mini-DVI to Video Adapter from Apple work with new Macbooks? It has a mini-DVI port, so what is the compatibility issue?

Have not seen anyone write anything specifically about it and have seen nothing from Apple except that it will not work.

My guess... is that it is a digital only port beginning with the 2009 models and the mini-dvi to vga adapter they sell does the conversion to analog rather than both analog and digital being available at the port. Have read many that have tried using just a vga to video adapter off that... invariably without success.
