    how do i remove my printer from the network?
    hi there.

    is there any way i can remove my printer from the network it is attached to at work? other departments use our printer as they refuse to buy ink - i know - and our ink constantly runs out. can i prevent them from printing? can i remove my printer from the network so that only my team and i can print on it? let me know. thanks for your help.

    To completely remove it, then you would turn off Sharing in System Preferences.

    To limit users, you could password protect sharing.

    Specs:
    09 MBP 8GB ram 500GB HD OS 10.9 32B iPad 4 32GB iPhone 5 iOs7 2TB TC Apple TV3
    Not sure what brand and model you have but the HP 6380 has the ability
    to use a password.Sorry that is for locking the settings.
