MacBook Pro to Sony Trinitron

hi there i was trying to find a way, well the name of a cable in fact that would allow me to sync my MacBook Pro screen to that of my home television that is a Sony Trinitron, it's only 5 ish years old so i figure should be able to accommodate it but i just have no idea what cable i'm after! any help at all would be Greatly appreciated, thanks,

2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 8, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, Numerous iPods, Monterey
MBP model? Newer ones use a mini Display Port for output while the older models have a DVI output port.

Whichever model you have will require using an adapter to VGA unless your 5 year old Trinitron has a DVI input.

Also... CRT type TV displays do not (in my opinion) make good monitors for a computer since they're limited in resolution. Your Sony will more than likely be only able to display low resolutions. 1024 x 768 maybe? And sometimes setting the correct refresh rate can be difficult.

it's an older MBP but thank you very much for the advice and having used an adaptor for a different tv previously i've aware the picture will diminish etc. but that's cool and has been accounted for, thanks for the advice!
