Twice this week, on two different Macs running Leopard 10.5.1, including a few minutes ago, my Safari shortcut icon simply vanishes from the dock. I did not delete it either time, either purposefully or accidentally, it just erases itself and never comes back until I drag another copy there from the applications folder. Is anyone else having this problem with Leopard? Periodically I had noticed various shortcut icons missing but figured I had accidentally deleted them or my kids had done it. But tonight and on Monday on my iMac the Safari icon has disappeared all by itself with noone else in the house. BTW when I exit Safari, or any other program, I do it from the top menu bar, so I couldnt have accidentally tried to run up to Quit from the dock icon. Anyway, its weird.

This is just a guess, as I've seemed to have stuff dissapear on me... But if you are adding other programs to the dock, is there a limit to how many can be on it, and eventually some start to dissapear?

Like I said, just a guess.

I do not think there is a limit...

I can be wrong though...
