Ok I don't really know how to title this article and I did do a search and didn't find anything to my liking.

Basically for the longest time when ever I set an image to the desktop online it would save those images to the pictures folder, I had no idea why or how, but as of well a while it stopped doing it. It's quite frustrating because I quite liked the feature so whenever I get bored of my desktop I am left with the few that I have from when it used to save to the pictures folder.

My question is how do I enable the desktop images to be saved to the pictures folder again? I can't seem to figure it out and most my mac friends are confused as well :p

I can't find any preference setting for this in Safari (are you using Safari?). I'm wondering... have you switched web browsers? I'm wondering if the picture is saved to the Pictures folder automatically in some other web browser than what you use now, or perhaps it did so in an older version.

Safari has always had the "Save to desktop" option. I've never saved to pictures folder. Me too thinks that you might have switched browsers or installed some hack..

I totally forgot I used to use firefox, turns out that firefox does save the images to the pictures folder when set to desktop...

Does anyone know a way to turn this feature on in safari? because I would hate to use firefox just to fulfill my wallpaper pleasure lol.

I'm sure there'll be a hack, but for the time being just keep the pictures folder on your dock (if using 10.5 it'll become a stack of course) and then drag images into it whenever...
