My Windows PC does not have a CD writer so I thought I'd use my imac to burn backup copies of my Windows application disks. I made disk image copies to my imac desktop then burned them to a new cds (CD-Rs). My imac can read all the files (or at least tell me they are all there) but my windows pc only sees a blank disk. Interestingly, (yes I live in a village - odd things interest me!) the disks also appear blank to my copy of XP running in Fusion on my imac.

Does anyone have a solution as to how I can use my mac to create copies that can be read by Windows?

Are you sure the disc is actually being burned? Look on the underside and see if you can see the color difference from where it was written to.

Btw there's such a thing as Mac only discs and Mac/PC disks. I'm not sure what OS X burns so I can't say. But in Toast Titanium the option is very prominent...
