Free upgradeto Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard?
I finally bought my iMac on 12 October and very pleased with it and love OSX 10.4.10.

Would it be possible to get a free upgrade to 10.5 Leopard? Considering I bought my iMac with OSX 10.4.10 Tiger 2 weeks before Leopard is getting released.

    Please advise

That was a rude, ignorant and uncalled for comment. Its easy to see I am not wanted on this forum. So sorry I took the easy out and responded to a current active thread. Your right, I could have searched the internet better and found the answer. You can bet it will not happen again on this forum. I don't need to associate with people like you.

Sorry but we get people asking the same questions over and over when if they even looked at the new messages they would see several threads with the answer they are looking for. The people on this forum are very helpful overall.

The $9.99 is for Shipping by the way. It's to pay for the Cost of Apple shipping it to you. If you purchase on or after October 1st you get it for free plus $9.99 for shipping.

gkevin, jut to explain, those two links are threads in Mac-Forums on the same subject.

Please understand that plenty of same subject threads have been started on Leopard for one thing, and some members have little patience with this proliferation of cloned threads.

Also remember that in the forum rules it does say to use the search before posting. Not many people do this and we end up with 20 threads on Leopard, for example, in a 24 hour timespan.

All this really boils down to is to make searches in the forums easy and keep the forums tidy for future reference.

    From the forum rules:

2- Posting Ettiquette: Please use descriptive titles, use search before posting, keep threads on topic, and don't cross-post. Please do not hotlink to images unless it is from your own webhosting or you have the permission of the domain you're taking it from. Please, do not post personal information such as addresses phone numbers, ID numbers, or any other private info.

Rather than being rude, Kash actually took the time to hunt out those threads for you AND post links.

I really think you misinterpreted his post.

Please don't take it like we don't want you here, I know you are a new member and now you know to search for a topic. As you stay here you will realize that the same topic numerous times can get annoying. Now it's done. I hope you enjoy being at Mac-Forums from here on out.

Consider this a lesson learned. Next time do a quick search. If you can't find any information, then post a thread. Someone will be happy to respond

    Exclamation Looking for newbie section
It appears that I've stumbled upon a post session inhabited by expert OSX users with little interest in helping the uninformed. I was very disappointed to see Kash's reply to gkevin's post, in which he was not redirected to the "Leap before you look" section. As somewhat of a specialist in the acquisition of information , it is common practice for me to use a search engine prior to asking people like you anything. Obviously you were not expecting a mentally challenged person to enter your private discussion so, if you would, please direct me and any others to the helpful people discussions of Mac-Forums.com. Thanks in advance.

    P.S.:

Did none of you attempt to understand gkevin's 2nd post? (rhetorical) He clearly stated that he would not return to this discussion, thus making all your retorts moot. Just so you know, I can find my own way to the "potential, repeat users pending further study of its current member section".
