Hi, I have a macpro with the original hard drive and I added a 2nd hard drive. I want to combine these two harddrives so the computer see this as one giant hardrive. The original drive is 250 g and the 2nd drive is 500g. Anyhelp will be greatly appreciated. Photoman

You are looking for a function called Logical Volume Management, which allows you to overlay pretty much any logical storage structure you want on top of pretty much any physical storage structure you have.

Unfortunately, it does not yet appear to be available for Macs, at least not from the quick Google I did on the topic. It is freely available in pretty much any Linux distro, but that won't help too much on your Mac!

You may be out of luck on this one...

But not for long. This article:

suggests that LVM may be included in Leopard!
