    HELP!!! My G5 doesn't work
I'm really needing some help here.
I have a power mac g5, dp 1.8 Ghz, and now it wont boot.
Instead of asking for login and password, it shows a screen "You need to restart your computer" and sometimes "some error with cpu0, Panic, we are hanging here".

    Never heard of such thing.
    Anyone?

    Regards.

Do a forum search for "Kernal Panic" and you'll find plenty of answers.

    Specs:
    iMac late 2007 10.11.b4, iMac 2008 10.10.5, Macbook2007 10.7.5, Mac Mini 10.7.5, iPhone 3GS Note 8!!
Have you added any after market RAM (memory)? Bad RAM is one of the biggest causes of Kernel Panics that I have run into. Since you say booting with the CD does the same thing, I would check the RAM especially if any was added besides the factory supplied memory.

Before the error occurred, i did nothing to the mac, that is, have not changed anything in the machines config.

Yes, the ram is not the defualt one, but was added to the computer about 10 months ago.

    I'm really lost here .

Can you put back the factory-installed RAM? I bet the added RAM has gone bad and is what's making your Mac kernel panic like this.

Well in that case I think it's another hardware component that went belly-up. Might be worth it to take it in for a check-up.
