    Erase and Install
    If i do an erase and install does it reinstall all the applications that came bundled with my mac when i first got it, like iLife '06, mail, safari etc...

    yep i think so. on the install discs are all the apps that came with you mac.

    NOT any other programs like office or photoshop.

    Also worth noting is that if you only want to reinstall a mac app like Mail.app or GarageBand etc, Pacifist will allow you access to them without having to reinstall the whole OS.
