    Unhappy please help
    Im a new mac user an im runing mac 0sx 10.1. is there anyway i can get a free download or upgrade to 10.1.5? Please help me im new to computers its a powerPC G3

    But I would strongly suggest you look into investing in a copy of 10.3 or 10.4 if you plan on doing a lot of work on that computer, the later version of OS X were much more responsive than 10.1.

    Not to mention that 10.1.x was really unstable. Mac OS X 10.3.9 Panther was the most stable in my eyes, followed closely by Mac OS X 10.4.x Tiger which is pretty good as well.

    ibook g4, imac 2ghz c2d, mbp 2.4ghz c2d - 10.5.1
    i started on tiger so i dunno about the previous versions but i would suggest getting the latest.

    still in need of help.
    Thank you Aplmunich. But when i try to install it it says installer update is required for this update. Could you please help me again?

    On the site I linked to it says
    Security Update 7-18-02
    (must be installed prior to Mac OS X 10.1.5)
    .
