Hi,

When you are writing something in word, is there any other way to correct a spelling mistake by right clicking other than holding the control key? Is there a setting to make a double click do the same thing?

Thanks

I don't know what kind of computer you have, but I know on my MacBook I can tap the trackpad with two fingers and get a right click. I think the same thing can be done on a mighty mouse, but I'm not 100% sure. If you have a MacBook, go to System Prefrences>Mouse and Keyboard>Trackpad and check the "Tap track pad with two fingers for secondary click".

A question from an old windows user. On my PC they put in a key on the keyboard that simulated the right click, its the menu button next to the windows key. That was much handier than dragging the mouse to the selected word to right click. Instead I just hit the arrow key to put the type cursor over the red word and hit that key to bring up the selection of suggested words.

What I am asking is this...is there a keyboard shortcut to simulate right click like the menu key on a PC?

Thanks in advance.

hmmm no, i don't believe there is. At least not as part of OS x. But you can probably find a program to do it for you. I think quickkeys would do that for you.

That's a pretty neat thing. I never know of that on the PC. And I use XP every single day, too.
