Pages to Word

If I export a Pages export to Word, (which I need to do when sending articles to most editors), any text box, arrow or anything other than plain text becomes garbled. I have a new Macbook Pro running Yosemite Can anyone help?

Yes, we can help. Purchase Mac Office 2011 and use Word. I know that sounds like a rather drastic step to take, but if you need 100% MS Word compatibility, then you should be using Word. Nothing wrong with Pages as a WP and layout program, but when dealing with publishers, legal, and other business correspondence, MS Word is the de facto standard. Do some shopping on Amazon and the web. You should be able to pick up a copy of Mac Office Home and Student for less than $100.
