Upgrading EFI from 32-bit to 64-bit on Mac Pro with 64-bit processor
I have been investigating the possibility of instalkling Fedora (Linux) on a separate drive on my Mac Pro. But the EFI is only 32-bit (even though the processors are 64-bit), and does not support the Fedora installation. Does anyone know of a workaround for this problem, or a way to upgrade the EFI?

    Specs:
    Mid-2012 MBP (16GB, 1TB HD), Monoprice 24-inch second monitor, iPhone 5s 32GB, iPad Air 2 64GB
There is no way to do that to the best of my knowledge.

Thanks. I have read of methods that are claimed to work, but I have no way to verify them. Let's see if anyone else has any input.

Found this on the internet, but I don't know enough to evaluate it.

    Specs:
    iMac i5 2.7GHz, 16GB memory, OS 10.10.5
Can't be done will always be 32bit EFI.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
